Meet the Booming Lovelies! Ladies of a certain age, unafraid to share their wealth of life experience with anyone brave enough to listen and curious to hear. Poetically primed and eager to charm with verses on everything from nostalgia for the last century to lost loves, the menopause and the joys and complexities of modern life. All welcome – there’s something for everyone – so relax and enjoy a wonderful performance.

Trisha Broomfield writes poetry and short stories. Her pamphlets The Equator and Other Disappointments, Husbands for Breakfast and When Peter Sellers Came to Tea were published by Dempsey and Windle. Her latest, My Acrostic Mother, is due out soon. Her look–back poems blend humour and pathos and several have been featured on BBC Upload Radio Surrey and on the Poetry Worth Hearing podcast. Her poems appear regularly in Cranleigh Magazine and also on Facebook and Instagram.

Sharron Green shares her wry sense of humour in rhymes about everyday life and nostalgia. She has published Introducing Rhymes_n_Roses; Viral Odes and Willing Words. In 2023 she was a Head Writer for the Surrey New Writers Festival. Sharron hosts monthly poetry open mics in Guildford at Solar Sisters café and with Write out Loud at the new Fiery Bird Venue in Woking. Heather Moulson has been writing poetry since 2017. She has performed extensively in London, particularly Celine’s Salon and Soho Poets, and Guildford and Woking. Her debut pamphlet Bunty, I Miss You was published in 2019. Heather won the Brian Dempsey Memorial Award in 2020. Heather also writes reviews and runs a website, and obsessively sketches her black cat.
