Lynette Lowthian has worked as a journalist and editor all her professional life. Much of her career has been in magazine journalism. She has also taught creative writing, and worked as a trainer in journalism for the Periodical Publishers’ Association. She’s written on an incredibly diverse range of topics, from publishing (News Editor, Publishing News) through family life (Education Editor, Parents Magazine to disability issues ( Editor, Living with Disability magazine). Together with novel writing, she currently edits the early years website, rightstartonline.co.uk. In her career, she’s been lucky enough to meet and interview an incredibly diverse range of people, including household names such as Tony Blair, the author Beryl Bainbridge and disabled British television presenter Sophie Morgan. The Gene Genie is her first novel and she’s now working on her second.
