With less than a month to go until the opening of Farnham Literary Festival 2025, we’re delighted to say that the town will be welcoming more than 100 authors, presenters and performers between the 6th and 16th of March. And what a line-up we’ve assembled this year!

A number of events have already sold out, and we are sorry if you missed out on tickets to the cosy crime panel, Mum’s the word, David Walliams, Lennie Goodings, Andy Zaltzman or Richard Coles. But we hope that there will be something else across the programme which takes your fancy. There are another 50 events to choose from, everything from current affairs to modern myths via true crime and historical fiction.

Perhaps you want to get away with murder? Or fancy some performance poetry? Some Shakespeare? Or even an evening with Doon Mackichan or Lorraine Kelly? What about a history of the British Countryside in 100 objects with Country Living columnist Sally Coulthard? Maybe a literary pub quiz is more your thing. Check out our brochure here.

Waterstones will be operating a pop-up bookshop at many of the events, and the town is already ablaze with the distinctive yellow banners of the festival – so let’s get ready to celebrate all things literary in the next few weeks!
