Gill Thompson

Ex Farnham resident and Alton College lecturer Gill has written four historical fiction novels, all of which have been digital number one bestsellers. She now lives in West Sussex and has recently been appointed Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Chichester.

Her dream was realised in 2019 when her first novel, ‘The Oceans Between Us’ about a little boy and his mother separated by war and by continents, was published by Headline. She has since written another three historical fiction novels set in and around World War Two, all inspired by real life events.
