Jane Hennigan was born and raised in Aldershot in Hampshire moving to Farnham in 1999. After a decade working in E-commerce, she gained a degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Royal Holloway, and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Surrey. She spent seven years teaching English and philosophy at Farnborough College of Technology, before moving to the seaside to concentrate on writing.

Her debut novel, MOTHS was published by Angry Robot Books in March 2023. A high-concept thriller, MOTHS follows Mary as she contemplates her life before men were driven mad by a toxin and society was upended. Now, 40 years later, when men no longer rule, she must decide how far she is willing to go to bring a possible cure to light. MOTHS was originally self-published in 2021 before being picked up by a traditional publisher.

The sequel, TOXXIC, is out in March this year.
