Joanne Watson was born in East Yorkshire growing up with a keen interest in Sport. After university and a degree in Politics and Modern History she began her dream Job with BBC Radio Sport. Her production and editorial career saw her working on major events around the world including 7 Summer Olympics.
Having moved to Farnham after London 2012 she turned to writing in lockdown with a recent biography of the French Empress Eugenie who spent 40 years living in exile in Farnborough. Her latest book, an illustrated history of the Olympics sees a return to her first love as we approach the 2024 Games in Paris.
