Welcome to the 2026 Farnham Literary Festival Schools’ Programme!

Farnham Town Council is delighted to announce our 2026 Schools’ Programme, a celebration of imagination, storytelling and the joy of reading. In partnership with The Blue Bear Bookshop, and with the generous support of sponsors and the local community, the Farnham Literary Festival once again invites young people to connect with inspiring local talent, bestselling authors and creative voices from across the literary world.

At a time when literacy and a love of reading are being championed nationally more than ever, this programme aims to inspire confidence, curiosity and a lifelong connection to books. Through author talks, workshops and interactive sessions, students will be encouraged to explore language, stories and their own creative potential in meaningful and exciting ways.

The Schools’ Programme is made possible by the continued support of Farnham Town Council, our valued sponsors, local businesses, dedicated volunteers and the talented authors who so generously share their time and expertise. Together, we are proud to create opportunities that support literacy development while sparking imagination and a passion for learning.
